The Money Project

The Rebuild Plan

The Rebuild Plan

Your separation is settled. Now let's build a money plan that works for the life you're actually living.

Who it's for

This is for you if...

  • Your separation agreement or court order is signed, and you're figuring out what comes next
  • You're running a household on one income for the first time
  • You have settlement money and don't want to make the wrong move with it
  • Your ex handled most of the money, and you're starting to take it back
  • You want to know if you can keep the house, buy again, or should rent for now

Still negotiating your settlement? This program starts once it's signed. Book a call anyway and I'll let you know when the timing is right.

What you walk away with

What you walk away with

A personalized, printed plan that's yours to keep. It includes:

  • Your next steps: a one-page action plan for the next 30, 60, and 90 days
  • Your new-life snapshot: what you own, what you owe, and what's really coming in each month
  • A one-income budget: built from scratch around your life now, not the old one
  • A settlement money plan: exactly where your lump sum goes, and in what order
  • A debt payoff plan: with the date you'll be debt-free
  • A credit rebuild: untangling joint accounts and building credit in your own name
  • A housing plan: whether you can keep the home, what you could buy, or how to get ready to buy later, including how your RRSP may help
  • A protection checklist: beneficiaries, wills, insurance, and your first tax return after separation
  • A progress report: at your check-in, showing how far you've come

About

Hi, I'm Rebecca

I'm a Personal Finance Strategist and a licensed Ontario mortgage broker. I've spent years helping people through one of the hardest financial moments there is: separating one life into two. I know the numbers, and I know the housing side inside out, because that's the part most people are most worried about. My job is to help you feel in control of your money again.

Questions

Questions people ask

Does my agreement need to be signed first?+

Yes. This program is about rebuilding once the big decisions are made. If you're still negotiating, book a call and we'll talk about timing.

Is this legal or tax advice?+

No. I'll help you understand your money and make a plan, and I'll flag anything you should take to your lawyer or accountant.

You're also a mortgage broker. Do I have to get my mortgage through you?+

No, never. If you'd like my help with a mortgage down the road, I'm happy to talk about it, and I'll be upfront about how I'm paid.

What do I need to bring?+

I'll send you a simple checklist before your first session. Bring what you can find, and we'll work out the rest together.

Can we meet by video?+

Yes. In person in Toronto or by video, whichever you prefer.

My lawyer or therapist told me about you. Can they refer me directly?+

Absolutely. Just book a call and let me know who sent you.
